Nice one and congrats are you going to take the whiteness off from the markings?
Is it live?
No, should I take the whiteness off the markings? seen that sometimes, what does it mean, I had 4 mausers before.
No this one is not live, but... I'm getting a Mauser this year to hunt in Norway
This is a 7.92 and not the 7.62 that the Norwegian army did to it
Thank you for your intresst, and please, tell me about the whiteness in the markings :P
Well, i've seen a lot of these white markings, and yes this one does not have white "Paint" it's just plastic to show it better, the seller is removing it when he ships it to me.
Normandie
Whiteness highlights is to make the markings standout and easier to read. It not original to the gun, seller did it. It up to you if you want, but just remeber a soldat didnt need his numbers on his gun to stand out. I recommend taken it off if your going for combat display.
Thank god it wasn't paint, and that it was "plastic" or something like that
Collectors add the (usually) white highlights on the various markings-not something armies do except sometimes on the rear sight so that the range markings can be seen more clearly in the field.
