No pictures were attached-are you talking about the Portuguese Vergiero Mauser M1904? All these were made by DWM.

I assume you are referring to the Portuguese Mauser -Vergueiro Model 1904.

I believe these were made by Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken (DWM).

Originally chambered for the 6.5 x 58 mm cartridge.

I was asking if there was anithing do see who made it or there all made by DWM and this different makings do not count for anything

    Is it an M1904 in 6.5mm x 58P or an M1904/38 in 7.92mm x 57 rebuild/short barrel ?

All were made by DWM, and I believe all were marked more or less the same. The CI would be the chamber crest, the monogram of King Carlos I with the crown. Here's mine:

It's a shortened M1904/39 in 7.92mm-has a new proof mark on receiver, short barrel and front sight protector 'ears'-original long 1904s are rare as most in Portuguese use were converted to the later type in the late 1930s.
