MG42 Tripod

Article about: Anybody need a tripod.........?????

    Information on how does the scope work. Also mybe interesting in trading

    first you stick the scope on the tripod and lock in place you thin plug the scope into the battery pack look through the scope and pull the trigger (make sure theres ammo in the gun first)

    Here are some images of the tripod I have, I would like more information on the item, It seems there is a lot of miss leading information out there on the web concerning ww2 relics so i am here to get an expert opinion

    Hi Randolf, welcome to the forum! The correct name for this bit of kit is a Lafette.

    What you need is an English translation of the actual wartime user manual. These can be bought here cheaply:

    That Tripod is a modern one still used for the MG3
