Mosin nagant snipers

I'm hoping someone can help me out here. When were the mosin PU sniper rifles first produced, in what year?

Mosin side rail PEM snipers were made up to 1942, so the PU sniper rifles were made from 1942 onwords - dont forget however PU scopes can be found earlier dated 1940/41, this is because they were also used on SVT40 rifles in those years, i have two original mosin PU snipers, an izhevsk 1943 with matching 1943 dated "progress" made PU scope, and an original 1943 Tula "ch" sniper marked pu sniper rifle fitted with the rare alluminium "Krasnogorsk" made PU scope made in 1943 in very limited numbers

That's great info thank you! I was suspicious when I saw a 1934 rifle with space for PU mount!

Do you by any chance have any pictures of yours you could post up at all? Would be great to see an original! Thanks again
