    Default My 276 Vickers Pedersen

I have a really nice condition 90%+ or better serial # 01X complete with the one way skeletonized clip similar to the one used on the US Pedersen. All later serial numbered Vickers Pedersens used a symetrical 2 way clip. I have fired the rifle a few times to check functionality and it works fine. I stopped firing it when I was informed it was most probably a preproduction piece since all other specimens that were known used the 2 way clip. The clip I have was obtained from Herb Woodend formerly from curator of the Enfield Pattern Room. Even he didn't know what it was for since the locking catch was in the wrong place to work in US Pedersens. The inside of this receiver is not groved to accept the clip guides (similar to Garand clip) on other Vickers Pedersen clips.
Anyone have any idea what this piece is and what it might be worth?
Any infromation would be greatly appreciated.
    TIA
    Sam
