    Default MG 34 Spare Parts

Just buy all the spare parts you can find to keep it running as MG 34 parts here in the states are getting expensive and harder to find. Especially barrels and bolts.

I have 3 barrels and two bolts. I need more. I have 5 42 barrels, but only one bolt. Definitely need atleast 1 more bolt incase mine breaks.

I realize folks in the UK cannot own operating machine guns but what I am always impressed with are the collections of accessories many have with the deacts they own.
I know! But I guess if we weren't shelling out $30,000 for full auto guns we might have more money for accessories too! haha.

I would say it probably has more to do with dedication and networking.

Absolutely.....and money. Having an extra $10,000-$30,000 helps buy whatever neat WW2 parts you want. But I'm still very glad I get to own the real deal full autos here. It may just take me a little longer to get all of the extras.

Keep in mind there is a big difference between being a collector and an accumulator. Collectors for the most part narrow their interests to a specific and narrow theme while accumulators buy what ever with no regard to whether those items go together or not. Some of the best collections I have seen in my nearly 40 years of collecting were not built so much with money as they were with research and constant attention to detail. Money does help but it makes no difference how much an individual spends if no research goes with the purchases to create a collection.

wow nice gear guys I just got a display MG-43 with an 80% receiver.. anyone have a Trommelhalter top cover for sale these days- or can machine a copy? I do not even need a functional one, just something comparable to secure a double magazine to the piece.
