I've been to gun shows all over the US and haven't seen a Mk I* for $300 since the early 70's. The least expensive one I've seen for sale over the last few years was for $900.

Hmmm, there was one at a gun shop in Gresham OR. last December for $250.00. Not in too bad shape either. Perhaps I'm mistaken in my ID of the rifle we're talking about.
