    MLE? I was under the impression the designation was MAS M1918. Still an auto rifle or straight pull bolt action?

    It is a semi auto not a straight pull.

    Lithgow,

    I forgot to add The full title should have been MAS MLE 1918.The MLE stands for model. Note the marking on the 49/56, MAS MLE 1949 56.
