Super nice all matching rifle Ray. I've got a 1941 also and love to shoot it. My bolt has the plum tint to it. Cheap ammo and easy to clean, what more can you say. What were the Finnish settings? They turn the gas setting up higher or something?

Jay, the gas valve settings on a non finned rifle should read, 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.5 1.7 whereas a Finned SVT will have the 1.1 setting machined off and stamped with a 2. I read this on another SVT discussion forum, Ray

The magazine on the rifle had a serial number that didn't match the rifle. Most SVT's have mismatched magazines. However I had a completely unnumbered magazine on my refurb SVT that I changed over to this rifle so there wouln't be any mismatched numbers at all on the gun. Ray
