The flare pistol is cool! I just picked up one of these a couple weeks ago. As stated it is an LP-42 German flare pistol. It saw service from 1943 till the end of the war and then I believe some were sent to Israel and saw use in the 60's and 70's. This new design was used to save war materials, which were low at the time. Nice group of items! Let us know if you shoot any flares out of it! I would love to get some for mine.

Gunbroker, 26.5mm Czech flares, the markings are fairly close to the WW2 ones - there are some up for sale.
I don't think I'll be firing it any time soon, fire hazard -
I'd love to get an inert pistol grenade for the display, too.
There was a real one that had been deactivated on Wehr awards for around $400, hmmm.
