A colt model 1851 36 caliber navy pistol.
Any idea of a value? It was a presentation I am guessing, due to name on the grip. All numbers are matching also.
looks to be a Fourth Model 1851 36 Cal. navy according to Blue Book of Gun Values. Serial No. run 85,000 to215,348 with brass trigger guard. My book is a few years old but in 90% condition lists value at 5,000 and lower if in fair condition. Hope this helps.
Thanks for your time and info.!
Glad to be of help. Looks to be a great pistol. Colts are always a good investment. Usually worth plenty.
