Welcome to the forum! That looks like quite the hefty barrel. What are the dimensions of it?

I have seen a Swiss anti tank rifle close to this one but do not remember where I saw it.
    Hope you find your answer.

Thank you for the reply and the warm welcome.

Here are a new picture where you can see more of the size. As you can see it is about 63 cm long.

And as you can see on the first post, the second picture it has 3 german eagles on it.

I noticed the 3 German eagles on the second picture also. They seem to be pre-ww2 because they are not holding the swastica, so it is possible a wwi... Whatever it is. Sorry, I would help you more but I would think that you are missing the stock and I wouldn't know what to classify it as.

going by that carry bag, it looks like it never had a normal type rifle stock. it looks like it should be mounted to something.

Hey mwallo, can you take pics of the trigger area and a pic of looking down the barrel and width of the barrel. That might help determining whatever it might be, though it seems like it wants to be the internal of a maxim machinegun on steriods.

You know what, try looking at it as an AA gun (a small one). The reason why I say it is because there is no definite trigger, it looks like it would be mounted to a carriage and drop fed ammo (possible, or mag fed). If the bore is bigger that 2cm then it is an AA gun. Picture of the 2cm FlaK 30 This a 1936 2cm AA gun, granted it is completely different but it is a possibility.

This could be an internal wing-mounted MG for an airplane, just a guess.
