Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Excellent display.
Glass mines look like cereal bowls - bet you only make that mistake once!
Hi,
Some explanations for thoses who don't know what is a "Glasmine".
Sorry for my approximate English.
Best regards from Alsace , France.
Carfin.
So, a glasmine is a glass pot (undetectable).
Different colors.
Pakaging in 2 models of crate, in wood, open with carton paper separate or in wood closed & separate with straw .
Different parts of a "Glasmine".
HOW SHE DOES WORK.
1) scew the détonator through the metal disc in the explosives.
2) position the explosive in his ribs.
3) close the mine with the thin glass disc.
4) cover the thin glas with the heavy glass, the glasmine is ready to operate.
Il you walk on the heavy glass disc, he broke the thin glass, fall on the detonator and BOOM.
Like I said; cereal bowls!
Excellent pics, thx.
I seem to remember a thread on these a while ago.
Hi,
I have forget; all of the parts of the glasmine are déact (detonator) or fake (explosive).
Best regards from Alsace , France.

Hi "Scout"
In my country, after the war, the glass pots served as watering place for the chiken in the farms.

AMAZING collection..!
And like Topfminen and so on , it was the mine war.
During my army in Colmar, I met minesweepers. They had maps from minefields!
In 1945, they made piles of Topfminen and boum!
