I love the brass and wood! think these were used in the American civil war?
Cheers Dean I know it still workS but I don't know if I will ever use it?..But I was very happy with it..So now rates as one of my favourites!!!. Cheers Terry.
Cheers, she's truly a real beauty! Thanks for sharing, friend.
Dean
I also like the sling set-up. A loop on the trigger housing is something I don't recall ever seeing.
Dean-the P1853 was the second most common rifle used in the US Civil War and used by both sides-most were imported from Britain but some were made locally in the North-if you've seen the film 'Glory' the Black regt, the 53rd Mass Inf were equipped with them.
Tango-good example of the iconic weapon of 'The Thin Red Line'-I have a modern replica '3 bander' made by Parker Hale.
What a beautiful rifle!! Thanks for sharing it with us!!
Thanks Guys I am impressed with it myself I was expecting something more battered than what came through the post..So I am very pleased...Cheers Terry.
