Kind of looks like a Belgium pinfire pistol. But what do I know? Not much really.
Yep Belgian or French pinfire .Maybe Lefaucheaux. Metric (mm) calibre probably.
I agree. From the photo it looks like a Belgian pinfire.
Any markings on the top of the barrel???
John

Hi,
Your Pistol is indeed a Lefaucheaux 12mm pistol, i believe they are side gate loaded, they were also sold as private pistols, perhaps this is one as it has Ivery grips.
Dave.
Hi,
i have researched and found that the 1854 Lefaucheaux military issue pistol was part of the 11,833 purchased and issued to the Union army.
