Please help me identify this small pistol

Article about: by Panzer 3 Hi, Your Pistol is indeed a Lefaucheaux 12mm pistol, i believe they are side gate loaded, they were also sold as private pistols, perhaps this is one as it has Ivery grips. Dave.

    Kind of looks like a Belgium pinfire pistol. But what do I know? Not much really.

    Yep Belgian or French pinfire .Maybe Lefaucheaux. Metric (mm) calibre probably.

    I agree. From the photo it looks like a Belgian pinfire.
    Any markings on the top of the barrel???

    It looks like a Lefaucheaux with the broomhandle grip and that rounded spur at the top of the grip!...

    sold for £160

    and a picture of my relic .32 begian pin fire in a glass frame.

    Hi,
    i have researched and found that the 1854 Lefaucheaux military issue pistol was part of the 11,833 purchased and issued to the Union army.
