Polish VIS with Nazi markings

Hello, here is Julekpl again. Today I have come across a Polish VIS at my local pawn shop, and being Polish I had to take a look at it. It is in "ok" condition, the bore is still good too. I have noticed that there are no Polish markings, other than the Radom part, but I have noticed some waffenamt markings here and there, including an eagle with a swastika next to the patent numbering, and what I believe to signify that it was in fact Police issued. I have read that the Nazis used many Polish guns after occupying Poland, but this one does not have any Polish markings, so I am guessing it is later in the war. I have noticed that the grips are brown and Plastic, which don't seem to match the rest of the gun, they seem to be too clean. Here are some pictures and I also circled the eagle with swastika to get a better view of it. Oh and sorry for the "beautiful sunset" style picture without the color and all.

The shop is selling it for $475, any thoughts on this one? Thanks!

Hi Julek,

This is an early occupation pistol from about 1941-42 with the take down lever still present and WaA77 acceptance mark. Judging by the serial number prefix “M” it would be a second type without the stock slot, if memory serves. These early guns had black grips as original equipment, so these might have been taken from a later war period pistol.

Maybe it's just the pics, but it looks like the finish has been completely
removed. I know war-time Occupation finishes are generally pretty
rough, but there seems to be no finish at all here. It has probably
been poorly stored, handled or cleaned as there are heavy
rust spots on the slide.
Pawn shops can be a great source for excellent deals. They probably
didn't pay much for it, and would like to see a quick turn-around.
Because of condition issues, try an offer of $100-$150 less
- if you are sure it's the one you want.........

That would be expensive for one in that condition-that variant of the pistol is the most common of them, and the condition is only fair at best.

yeah now that you mention it, it did seem kind of crudely made, and yeah there was no finish on it what so ever. I'll try to get it for $275, but I doubt it'll work. Thanks anyway though!
