Hi to all,
I would need a little help in ID'ing this bolt. It was found with german WW2 stuff, but it doesn't look familiar to me.
Thanks in advance

I reckon that its from a French MAS-36 Rifle.
Thanks

Thank you Danny!
I was wondering why together with german stuff and I found that the germans reutilised large numbers of these rifles renamed as Gewehr 242. Very interesting!

Terrible rifle... I don't think they could have made the bolt and more awkward.
Congrats on the bolt find!
Actually quite a good rifle-fast short stroke bolt , very easy to strip with no specialist tools and quite short and handy by French rifle standards-also uses a good modern pointy 'spitzer' round-the bayo is pretty ridiculous, a knitting needle but by the late 1930s people were getting over the idea of a 'cold steel' charge as a major part of modern warfare after all the fun 'n games of WW1.
It is possibly the only modern military rifle made that does NOT have a safety.
