I like Nagants, but the wood on the Finnish models is soo nice. This is by Sako, 1942 manufacture. I haven't taken the bolt apart, but it has an Izzy marked cocking piece, but the bolt body is matching. It has the rounded "fingers" of a war time stock. I haven't shot this one yet either, but plan on it, if I don't have to build an ark first.

The barrel has a 70 stamp on it, not sure if this is the date of manufacture for a new barrel, I can't find a reference to this in my book

Thank you guys! I really do like these rifles. It takes some getting used to the straight bolt, but this one runs pretty smooth. I've always liked how the pine tar works with the birch. It's almost too pretty to shoot.
