I would say French or Belgian pistol in 6mm Bosquette of the Le Faucheux type. Mid 19th century. FLOBERT Pistol, of course! My mistake! A classic.

I made a stupid mistake. It is of course a Flobert pistol.

These pistols were designed by a Frenchman; Flobert and manufactured in several countries. Particularly in Belgium by their thousands in the mid nineteenth century.

Look for a mark shaped like an oval with the capitals ELG (epreuve Liege = Liege proof bank). That would make it a Belgian product.

    Cheers,
    Emile
