Re: Shooting M1 Carbine in the States
Hey again Mick! They sure are SEMI auto and it suprised me. I guess i might be very wrong then, but that is what I've always heard. My mom and her husband is licenced hunters i will ask them at new years eve when i see them! But i can't imagine that they are ileegal if the guns on blocket are semi auto, because the blocket people wouldn't allow ileegal guns to be sold there.

Re: Shooting M1 Carbine in the States
Lot's of hunters are more interested in hunting rather than the guns they use. But at least you now know you don't have to go to the US to shoot semi autos, you can do it at home !
The Mini 30's were advertised in the hunting section. I don't know if they can legally be used for hunting, but that's where they were advertised.
Sweden is a nice place, but I have mixed feelings about moving there. The reason I'm moving is because the wife wants to be near the rest of the family who moved to Sweden two years ago. I love it here in Canada. I suppose I should be gratefull they did not move to the UK
By the way the Mini 30 is very similar to the M1 Carbine, it shoots AK 47 ammo which is a much more usefull round.

Re: Shooting M1 Carbine in the States
Semiautomatic rifles are getting more popular by hunters here in Sweden.
Still, bolt action rifles are still the most common type.
We have strict laws concerning guns, but if you can show a need for a semi auto the police will allow it.
we think that even if you have a slight handicap or weakness in a hand you should still be able to hunt.
A semi auto might be just the thing if you are weak in one arm or if you have a prosthesis.
You can also own guns in sweden without being a hunter, myself I am a gun collector here in Sweden.
I rarely shoot them, my interest is more on the historic side to guns.
Best regards
Anders, born and raised in Västernorrland

Re: Shooting M1 Carbine in the States
Hello again.
I collect mainly John Brownings patented handguns.
Some of my guns can be seen in my previous posts.
I want to take the opportunity to welcome you Mick to Sweden!
Västernorrland is a beautyful place, I think you might feel right at home.
Please send me a PM if you need advice once you have moved here, or just want to chat about guns or other things.
Best regards
Anders, now living in Stockholm
