Bill very nice S&W .This is my 1917 colt. I was given it by a friend because it was to heavy for him (and it kicks like a mule) Mine was parkerized for WWII. I still take it hunting with me once and awhile. Very nice Colt 1917, with a history....BILL

All of the Model 1917 holsters were left handed... When the weapons were reissued in WW2 they were issued in a 1942 dated Right hand holster....Most of the Guns issued in WW2 were the Colt Model 1917 and parkerized, while very large amounts of the S&W Model 1917 were sent to England Under the Lend Lease Program, The British loved the S&W products, as evident by the 100,000s S&W Victory models sent to the British empire in British cal. .380 revolver...BILL ...
