Very nice weapons.
Very nice weapons.
Some outstanding deacs you have
Nicely photographed as well.
Brad.
Wonderful items with wonderful photography, Douglas!
Might I ask how you set your photographs up like that?
Josh
Nicely photographed, thanks for sharing - I like the Swedish K variant.
Thanks for your comments everybody. Josh, the guns are photographed against a plain black backdrop and sometimes propped against a black box. They are photographed with studio flash and flash umbrellas. The background is then darkened further in photoshop to remove any trace of the background.
Here is my broomhandle Mauser C96. If anyone can help me date this gun or let me know who contract 14 was made for, I would be grateful. Please note the gun is missing its original firing pin and firing spring.
Can't help with your questions I'm afraid.
Have you seen these sites ?
C96 Broomhandle Mauser database

Richie
Richie, thanks very much for your reply. I have indeed see this site and it seems likely that the pistol was made just prior to WW1. My question wasnt properly thought out, I was actually looking for info on contract no.14 and the specific date that these contract guns were produced, rather than general dating information. I should have been clearer.
Douglas some top dollar weapons here..I like the AK 47..fired them a few times.. Thanks for posting Terry.
Nice weapons and very good photography.
