Hi Mick, I've not forgotten, its just been a little manic. I seam to remember them being Mk1* from last time I watched it. It makes sence that they are Mk1*s as these were Obsolete weapons given to Pinewood Studios, the BBC etc. which is why some Mk1s still exist. The rest being scrapped and many sold or given to India for parts (Theres a number of replics Mk1*s in the UK which are made from Indian spares).
If you get chance to watch some other British war films of the period you will notice most of those will be Mk1*s.
The film itself was partially filmed in Rhodes using the castle at Lindos super imposed on a cliff a few miles around the coast. This cliff and the bay have locally become to be known as Navorone bay after the film.
Life still manic m3bobby ?
