Hi Operheim, thanks for the comments.

No, the PTRD is very different from a Bofors gun. Some info can be found here:

    Russian

Inert RPG40 Anti Tank grenade. Ruchnaya Protivotankovaya Granata.

A hard to find item here in the West.

This example is a Winter War relic and came from Finland.

    Cheers, Ade.

Some good info on how they work can be found here:

    Inert F1 Grenades.

These are actually East German made copies of the Soviet F1, but make good cheap grenade pouch fillers for our living history events.

    Again good info here:

    Soviet F1 Fragmentation Grenade (Modern) - Inert-Ord.net

    Cheers, Ade.

OK Guys, this is my final item to share with you.

A PU telescopic sight and mounting bracket. PU = Прицел укороченный - or shortened scope.

This example dates from 1943 and was made at plant №357 "Progress". It is my intention to buy a former sniper rifle and rebuild it using this scope.

I hope that you have enjoyed my thread?

I will add any new additions I get in the future.

    Cheers, Ade.

That is a fantastic collection. I would love to have a Simonov (PTRS). Ammo for the 14.5 mm is very hard to get in this country.
