Hey guys new toy here! I own no Spanish items, this is my first one. Know very little about the rifle, its dated 1932 and stock is dated 1933. My two questions are, any idea what side the mauser would of been used on during the Spanish civil war? And where any of these ever fired in anger during WW2? Thanks as always!

Spain produced Mausers under a licensing agreement...I had a 1953-dated, (deactivated/La Coruna Arsenal) Spanish Mauser when I was a kid, nearly identical to yours...used to run around the neighborhood with it in Germany...
These were used by both sides, Nationalist as well as Republican Forces...after all, it was a civil-war between Spaniards...aside from the foreign forces of course, which brought along their own "tools of the trade"...
    cheers, Glenn
