Hello everyone, just received my new deactivated Thompson M1A1. Interestingly it is marked AAF on the stock, presumably Army Air Forces? The condition is very good, it still had a lot of original storage grease on the outside when it arrived. I have only just started to collect regular US army items (though I had previous collected USAAF items).

Yup I am sure deactivating guns is bad for their health (the gun that is)
    Best Regards Matt

On the look out for original ww2 M26 Adrian helmet liner.

The AAF marking is may be a rebuild marking....possibly the Anniston depot.
