    Hi Ade,

Yes I have seen the reproductions, I have given them a thought, I would like to keep it all ww2 period, and obviously because it’s deactivated they would never be used in anger as it were, I will see how I get on with an original, if it turns out to be silly money then I will go for a reproduction mount with an original scope or maybe just complete repro set up, its only for display really, it can never be fired, but all original would be nice

I think the only detraction is the 1950 refurb marking.

    Cheers, Ade.

Here is a question for you guys !! Just saw another 1942 dated scope on fleabay, and now that Ade mentioned it, I can just about see a refurb marking of 1984. Do you think there is much chance of getting one of these without these markings ???

Yes, the seller did not mention it, which is a bit naughty.

It would not be out of place on a refurb rifle though.

Original un altered scopes do turn up.

    Cheers, Ade.

Where can you get a repro mount for $160? I"m interested.
The fact that this rifle cost about $150 makes me want to cry......
Also since it is deactivated, it really doesn't matter if it is calibrated to m91/30 or not I suppose.

Hi Martin, you could always buy a replica mount and new production scope as a cheaper option. Mounts are about $160.

    Cheers, Ade.

    I Meyerse

Sorry I did not make it clear, it is deactivated, we cant own these weapons here in their natural state. I paid £135 for it with shipping so I am very happy !

I think ZIB Militaria do a repro scope for 160 euros

WHat do think of the scope on fleabay I posted ?

    Cheers

This Kharkov scope of mine has no obvious refurb marks, it COULD be unrefurbed (it is also has no CB mark on the turrets) and the lenses are uncoated. Some refurbs have coated lenses, presumably glass was replaced during refurb.

For me, I would get a repro mount, rough it up a bit to match a proper period scope. The reproduction scopes just don't ''look'' right to me
