Sorry mate, it is for the 98 Az. I have two in my collection.
The bolt of the Az is flat and knurled on the inside as is the one on the left.
The 98/40 is a ball shaped bolt which was cheaper to manufacture.
Google Mauser 98Az bolt and compare.

Here`s a pic of a 98/40 bolt showing the flat knurled bolt handle,notice the distinctive cocking piece the same as Lokvar`s,also the bolt handle is mid-bolt because the rifle is a split top receiver,that bolt could never go into a 98AZ,check out the link I posted in post #7,but you can call it whatever suits you.....Pete.
