Unusual Sterling

I just took at look at the Helston Gunsmiths website. They deactivated the bloody thing !!

helston have bin trying to sell this sterling for a couple of years now ,and the price has dropped by over £1000 in that time

Isnt that one of the Iraqi Saddam Gold sterlings that were confiscated after the war.

Yes, I copied it from the one I bought. I will sell the original one now and make a load more. I test fired it today, it works really well. The pistol grip, safety, and folding stock are nice features, apart from that it's just like a sten.

PS, The magwell design was taken from the Lanchester which was built by Sterling. It's a copy of the Schmeisser MP-28/II, which was developed from the first real submachine gun, the Bergmann M-18 (Maschinenpistole). If something works don't fix it !

You've made a fantastic job, the only thing that gave it away is the finish, which I think looks a lot better than the original
