Vintage Musket Parts?

I saved these parts from being melted down for scrap yesterday. Are they vintage (U.S. Civil War, for example), or are they modern?

Can anyone tell me anything about them? Value?

I think they were form a old shotgun/ shotguns IMO.

Definitely old parts. Could indeed be from old percussion shotguns.

looks like a left and right side for a double barrel shotgun. percussion if the hammer face is in set. more modern if it is a flat face on the hammer. still old either way.

I would say that you might be able to get a 5 or 10 bucks per lock if some one that is fixing up a wall hanger needs them. Is the lock on the far left marked any thing you can make out? It looks similar to the one on my confederate 3 band enfield? If it is it would be marked with a crown 186? over TOWER. Hope this helps. Cheers, Robert.

Something tells me that the top one with the larger hammer is not from a shotgun but a rifle. Shotgun "ears" are usually smaller than the large single percussion hammer because you have to fit two next to each other like the photo Ingrid posted. I would also say that the fact that the plate the hammer is attached to does not curve down suggests a rifle with a straight stock and not a semi-pistol grip like a shotgun. So I say top rifle bottom shotgun but thats just a theory.
