Fantastic work, clip and round looks great.
For aging wood a movie prop guy told me to mix vinegar , hot water , steel wool ,and tea bags . Leave it for a couple days and use . It dries darker then it first appears , works really well on new rough cut lumber .

Thanks for that CBH,ive already used the boot polish though..does a good job on denix coloured woodwork...greatwhite the colour paint I coated the garand in looks quite close to the parkerised colour of your deac don't you think?
