Excellent example you have-a couple of pics in service with the RN including the fightingest sailor the Navy had produced since Nelson-Air Commodore C R Samson RN, RAF.

You need a Webley-Fosbery auto-revolver to go with that!;-)

Thats a nice pistol....and a bit off topic........Lithgow, Thanks for the info on Commodore C R Samson......I am ashamed to admit that I was unaware of this mans contribution to Naval Aviation and his incredible exploits....what a character..........

Doubt I'll find an original Webley-Fosbery at an affordable price but I read somewhere that a reproduction is in the works - maybe that'll be worth a look!

The .455 Navy pistol is awesome, a very interesting one.
I have been looking for one for a while.
It was actually a very potent handgun for it's size, a wolf in sheep's clothing - which I find interesting.
I have a package of ammo for it - I would send you these in any other situation, except I want to find one of the pistols for my collection, lol.

If it means anything I had a Fosbery for some time - and the automatic you own is a more interesting pistol to me.
If I were given the chance to have either for my collection now, it would be the Navy.
*My Fosbery also refused to shoot in semi-automatic and always caused a bit of a fuss at the range.

Video of it not shooting semi-auto.
edited - PM me and I will send it to you

My Fosberry worked flawlessly and is incredibly accurate. My brother shot a 5 shot group with it at 50 feet that was one ragged hole.

As for my all matching 1913 MK I Navy I have never been able to shoot it because I have never foud ant ammo for it. Even if I had the Fosberyy is still my favorite.

    Nice Samnev,

I found the .455 auto ammo on Gunbroker, I believe - you can find it now and then.
It was about $100 for the package.

    Pit.
