Ww2 M3 Grease Gun price and information ?

Hello

I've been trying too find a m3 new spec for a while and finally one has come up i just wanted too know wether or not 350 is a good price i saw old spec for as much as 950 ! Also dose any one know how they got there name grease gun ?

I believe it got the nickname "Grease Gun" from a similarity to grease guns used by mechanics for lubrication.

It does resemble a mechanic's grease gun somewhat - hence the nick-name.
I think the price you mentioned is very good - you don't see them often.

( There is reference to the M3 in the movie: 'The Battle Of The Bulge'
where Charles Bronson says: 'Take the Greaser' to Henry Fonda as
he is about to inspect the inner workings of a German tank )

Andy, they had a couple of greasers at the Chatham military fair on Sunday, dont know what spec they were but both were in the region of £300-400, they also had a great looking Garand for £375
