After seeing your set up a thought occurred to me. if you set the scope on a sliding mechanism with a spring loaded lock then when you pull down on the pin it would release the scope so you could slide it forward to reload the strip clip then when you slide the scope back the spring loaded pin would shoot back up and lock the scope in place again
it is a beautiful rifle i look forward to getting my first one
Great looking SKS's guys, they are such fun to shoot.
I used to have a couple in the days before '95 when they made them illegal to possess in Australia.
They were real cheap too back then ($200), and so was the ammo.
I remember buying 1000 rounds for $150, and they threw in about 30 or so stripper clips.
Christ I miss em!!
Brad.
As long as I breathe .. I shall have mine.
I am very vocal in my area.

Martin another fine 1 for the collection, I like the grenade...You wouldn't want that to hit you..even if didn't explode it would still give you a headache!!! lol.. Cheers Terry.
Cheers Terry, they didn't open the package at the Hotel so an International Incident was averted lol although they did give me a bollocking for having a big parcel delivered !!
I think with the current UK MOD cut backs, that’s all we will have soon will be practice grenades to launch on our foe's heads lol !
Eric do you find the Chinese furniture you are using on your Russian SKS is made from a very soft wood it seems like every time I touch mine or use it there is a new scratch or a ding in the wood
