Both are OK.
Two very nice mess hall plates.
Very nice! Here's a bowl that my German grandmother picked up during a visit to her step-brother's Kaserne before the war...it's been in the family ever since...
cheers, Glenn
Great item Glenn, one that I know you will keep in the family.

There's a bit of a story here with the bowl...The same step-brother, Oberschuetze Adam Holzmann, was killed in Trier in 1938 during a training exercise...although there is some doubt about the official story of him being killed cleaning his weapon...There is speculation that he was put against a wall and executed...although he received a military burial. One day my grandmother overheard the town pharmacist (and SS-member) point to her and say "Das ist die Verraeterschwester"/"That's the traitor's sister"...
cheers, Glenn
