It actually looks like an original piece to me Tim.
is it made out of spelter or copper that has been plated?

Have a look round the web for valuations and that should give you some idea.
The last spelter one I had which was similar to yours I bought for £30.

Original and as noted it did come in a frame- there is a set with the same frame which includes Goring & Hindenburg.

Naturally AH was more popular as was Hindenburg but I have seen the complete Goring profile on a number of Militaria shows selling from $100 - $150 - .the Goering plaque from this serie is rare
