Re: Aluminium German Eagle at auction, opinions needed please.
Glen - As you stated very hard to tell from this one and only picture - From the picture the feathering on the chest dosent look right/not enough detail - but as they say "A picture is worth a thousand words". Lots of Luck-

Tread careful.
Pay no more than the cost of a fake.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: Aluminium German Eagle at auction, opinions needed please.
Thanks for the advice guys. I have my eagle that I can use as a comparison. I will take a good look at it on the day and like you said Ade only buy it at a cost of a reproduction like I did with the 15" eagle that turned out to be genuine.
Thanks, Glen.

Re: Aluminium German Eagle at auction, opinions needed please.
The other big item at the auction is a Luftwaffe Flak visor that I am unsure of?

I agree with Horst, the detail looks to be lacking. Unless it's cheap I wouldn't risk it.

Avoid it, in the 70's, it was made by factories in the Metz area, in foundries. Since this time, I never touch this kind of item

I agree with the lack of detail but I wouldn't even consider it unless I could see the back. Good luck!

Re: Aluminium German Eagle at auction, opinions needed please.
Hello guys, I attended the auction today and I wasn't impressed by it. It sold for £70 which was too much for me to risk.
Thanks, Glen.
