large commemorative plaque to the completion of the Reich Chancellery in 1938.
Dedicated to the workers, this is a nice blackened cast iron plaque.
The inscription:
"In memory of the completion of the Reich Chancellery - Erstanden March 1938 to today Berlin the ninth January 1939 ".
Artist's signature "A. Breker" rs.
Foundry marks for the Prussian mining and metallurgical AG Gliwice.
Dimensions 26.5 x 13.5 cm.
This was presented by Albert Speer, for the most deserving senior staff in the building.
Quite a big crack in the top left corner, which has been repaired, it just adds to it's history.
