Looks good from where I stand - some copper coloring faded from areas and the nice black marbel base. Is it yours???

Yes, Horst...I got it a couple of years ago in a German auction.

    Thanks, guys.
There are two reasons for my doubts:

    * the detail on the swastika arm-band and belt is missing, which suggests a post-war delicacy!

    * The price paid was a bargain, and I don't believe in bargains any more!

But I have just got an eagle in another auction so I will post that in due course (not quite a bargain!).

Wessel - if you have doubts and want to alleviate yourself of those doubts please pass the bargain on to me -

    LOL!!!

The word GERMANY is printed underneath, together with a crown and a small logo that I cannot make out.

How indistinct is the swastika? I think if someone was creating these, there would be more around. The 'Germany' marking doesn't bother me, as other items were marked to comply with international trading laws.

Is it zinc with a bronze finish?

I would agree with Erich's comments here. I cannot recall seeing another one of these before? My gut feeling at the moment is still saying "good". I just like the look of the wear to it.

    Cheers, Ade.
