Re: DAF alu Eagle
Ger - As you stated at first glance well made but dont think its period - check out the variances in the left and right wing feathering also the mark on the back which is used on china - not for me.

Re: DAF alu Eagle
Hi Horst,
Hi Horst,
not only china is marked that way, seen it on Table silver and other stuff, like Flagg poles.
Ive had some Eagles before and also some great Nurnberg Style Table eagles, who were period, with non matching feders on both sides of the Eagles Body's.
Handcrafted Eagles are not always perfect, a casted replica would not have cast " mistakes" like that and otherwise be of great quality, that wouldnt make sense.
What concerns me a bit is the lack of the Aluguss markings ( alNiMa) normally found on the big aluguss Eagles of The Reichsbahn.
No makermark also, that's what concerns me the most.
Thx for you reply!
Cheers Ger

Re: DAF alu Eagle
Horst please look at the Eagle below.
Its a HJ headquaters Eagle, clear to see feathering dont match either.
btw:
The DAF eagle has bent feathertips ( last 3-4 inches slighthy bent forwards)
