Do you think it's original ?
    For a tomb, without name?

    Hi Lebus,

I do believe it to be original but unsure of its purpose - I did not consider it being a grave marker.

    Thank you, Glen.

    it's not well carved!
if it is a souvenir, why a grave marker?

    Hi Horst,

Just what I was thinking - I often see 'trench art' DAK rings for sale.

    Thank you, Glen.

Personally, I think from the looks of it, that it once had a blade section to it, for a letter opener type of thing-which was a popular thing to make for the trench art guys back then, but it has been broken off either deliberately or by accident some time ago. You can see the section beneath the Afrika 1943 portion of it that something was below it on the edge. If it is, as such, I would not put a very high price on it, of course.
