This would be a cast piece, and while 'mass produced', is not widely seen today
because they were not made in the millions, like Iron Crosses
and other common awards.
Much nazi related material was destroyed, burned or buried after the war,
so unless they were Veteran 'bring-back' items like this one is, almost
all TR objects would have been illegal in Germany...........
It is a 'rare' statuette then, I suppose, but really not worth
thousands - maybe a few hundred, IMO.

Steve.
Well said and I agree Steve.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. This should be an easy sell given the rarity then.
I think you are missing the point its not the the rarity of the item that sets the price its design and purpose. For example an knightcross is a pretty commonaward and still it fetches thousands of dollars while more rare awards dont even come close.
And this piece I can't understand the purpose of even though I like it. Political bookcase piece maybe ?
Sorry missed alot of posts, agree 100% with you Steve
Berra, that makes sense to me in a way. I guess you learn something new everyday huh?
My best guess on it's useage, other than just a desk ornament, is for placing paperwork, receipts or such like, on the spike.
Cheers, Ade.
Thank you Adrian, I never thought of that.
