Eagle, german, russian or some post war ?

Article about: Anyone recognise this eagle ? It's talon's is broken and a wing tip is broken, anyone knows it's origins ? and possible a year of manufacturing ? And do you guys even think it's a millitary

    Anyone recognise this eagle ?
    It's talon's is broken and a wing tip is broken, anyone knows it's origins ? and possible a year of manufacturing ?

    And do you guys even think it's a millitary item ? i for myself dont know, but then again, i dont have any experience with items such as this

    looks more like some sort of bird, can be some candel holder decoration but not military

    I dont think its an eagle either, judging by the crest on its head it could be a styalised game bird and also not military

    eagle.bmpThis eagle is the type that was mounted on either a jingling johnny or the military xylophone - attached is a picture of one for sale at the Max show - sorry for the bad picture but the gorget was the main attraction.
    As a side note these types were also used on Reichswehr flag pole tops.

    I believe the bird first posted is most likely a dove - it's beak has simply
    been bent downward - no military aspect at all, and quite different
    from the one there at the Max Show.
