Ehmens desk adler?

I have been offered this desk adler. I love it, and it looks pretty much like the Ehmens one on Germania's site, page 9 Nazi Art

Any opinions welcome.

Don't know anything about these so if it were offered to me, it would want to be the right price to ensure taking the risk that it might just be someones art-school project. Are there any artist or foundry markings?

I feel the same way about these have seen good copy ones so with a good back ground it would have to be cheap for me to buy it

I would agree with the comments above - there are a number of postings relative to this type of eagle - As this type was an official NSDAP emblem they are RZM marked and have lots of detail , as the one on this previous posting Nurenberg Eagle Trophy.

Compare it with one i owned, not all are RZM marked, mine wasnt.
Lots of different patterns are available.

What is have never seen is a bronze one like you show here.
Pity the tail is broken that makes it worth a lot less.
They should be fastened with a simple very flat screw.
Originals are as far as i have seen made of heavy silvered potmetal ( clearly seen in the Swastika of the eagle i show)

Well Al,

with a broken tail its comes into the "only for display" league, not for serious collectors.
I'd say it should make you happy.... i wouldnt pay more then a 150 dollars for it.
