Fake LAH teapot??

Not holding out much hope on this one! Is this an antique teapot later (as in recently) engraved to add value, like the recent SS teaspoons? Is the date of manufacture 1914?

It is genuine all right ! And a time piece! I would like it for my maritime collection, because that 's what it is; a tea pot of the Hamburg Amerika Line.
In fakt the monogram read's HAL and not LAH ;-)

A lot of their stuff is mistaken for LAH.....the cypher is very similar but the HAL company is an old and distinguished manufacturer that was around long before the Nazis

The Hamburg Amerika Line cypher as been debeted here numerous times.
A lot of forum collueges could have told thise, I was just the first....
