Article about: painted with decals applied,squares are 13"x13" and the triangular one is 13"x 15",this is the only one that is double sided...any thoughts,opinions,guesses???,,,,my vote

    painted with decals applied,squares are 13"x13" and the triangular one is 13"x 15",this is the only one that is double sided...any thoughts,opinions,guesses???,,,,my vote is post WW II done,,these belong to a friend who inherited them from his WW II vet Uncle,who he claims had them for over 30 years...

    I wouldnt jump to the "post war" conclusion quite so fast mate.
    I am willing to stand corrected as usual, BUT, to me, they look very much like the pennants used on some senior staff vehicles.

    Like you said, definitely post WWII. It's on galvanized metal which won't hold paint, even with primer. There's no way they would have intentionally painted galvanized signs during TR.
