Hi guys im being offered this eagle. It is painted green and I believe is made od aluminum. It is 16 in wide and about 10 1/4 in tall. Only mark I can see is the two V's on the back. Thanks for looking Gary

IMO, most likely a reproduction.
Normally they were cast with "bosses" on the reverse that were machined and threaded.
Usually, when we see holes drilled into the reverse, they are not original.
Wait for some opinions of those who study these.

Ralph thanks for looking I've been trying to find one like it cant find it anywhere. It came wrapped up in a giant banner I know the banner is real . bit like anything else buy the item not the story and double check everything .

Reichsbahn eagle? Wall eagles had kind of rebars/studs to fix in the concrete/cement imo.

Hello Gary , what you have is a trolly eagle and IMO a good original with known maker mark V on both wings .

Yes a trolly eagle. These are studied in saris book on Reichsbahn eagles, they have been reproduce, I cannot say if this one is original or not, would need a in hand inspection but I highly recommend the book!!
