Re: Goering staff car badge
Do you know what size it is Rory and are there any more photos?
Is there any provenance linking it to Goering or is it just the seller's pitch?
Does anyone know if Goering had a staff car/s with an eagle mounted on it?
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Re: Goering staff car badge
The photo's I've seen of HG's staff car had fender pennants and a fancy hood ornament, but I've never seen a badge like this one before. I have no idea where it would have attached on a car.

Re: Goering staff car badge
Judging by the other items for sale it appears to be a brick-a-brack auction, and some of the items are mislabelled, this certainly is'nt a militaria sales auction and i would say its generally house clearances, i doubt very much as to this items provenance, Ive never seen one like this on Goerings staff car which generally just displayed his Reichmarshall banner on both front wings, Goering was very proud of his car collection and apparently did'nt want holes drilled into the body work of some of the rarest cars there were at the time, plus i believe that all of his cars were recovered at some time or other and are in private collections

Re: Goering staff car badge
May stand a chance, looks like a desk ornament that has been broken from its stand (see the bottom arm of the swastika)
The nicest piece is the DCM?/Aircrew Europe group. (lot 657)
