Have three german paintings

I have these two paintings of Belgian men.
They are the brother and father of the artist, named Joseph Tilleux.
A well know artist over here, but is work doesn't fetch high prices anymore....
They are under glass and the artist pinned theyre medals (one got detached) thru the canvas.
It is indeed a wierd idea, you could encouter, but lets say it is seldom seen.
You will also notice that the way the medals where put on the portret of the brother is quiet chaotic. This might due to grief or anger, or with the artist age and the lack of dexterity to put them right,...who will tell....
Your FJ has a Belgian post war lion cap insigna on it, btw!
