The bolt/nut is a replacement, but the marble base is original.

upon the nose i see two diff color , is repainted or plated ??

As I am told, the vet used to touch the nose every morning for good luck. It has apparently worn away some of the coating.

From the A.H. busts I've seen, for me this one captures the lean, hungry look of the man, in addition to his seething anger.

Brian this bust is made of steel ( pot metal ) or bronze ??

The base is original just re-fixed with a new bolt, these were treated to get the color and if you look to underside of the rear neckline you will see it is bronze. At least that is the way it looks to me.
